Moving Forward

Education

In order to combat issues and foster a deeper understanding, knowing better helps one do better. When it comes to a faceless issue like food insecurity that is on the rise on campuses and globally, it is important to understand the history and causes of it by spreading awareness and having conversations in your circles.

Volunteer

If you can, do research to find local food organizations in your area and help fight the stigma of food insecurity. Volunteering and being involved can help facilitate community and deepen one's understanding and connection with people and food.

Communication

Having conversations are hard, but nothing changes without them. Food insecurity may be faceless, but that does not mean it isn't happening around everyone or to you. It is important to reach out and not be afraid to ask for help when it comes to you or anyone's wellbeing.
